Rita Sanders has been Assistant at Professor Peter Finke’s chair since December 2009. She studied Social Anthropology, Geography and Media Studies at the University of Cologne (MA in 2003). Her MA-thesis deals with homeland conceptions of Russian German migrants in Germany. Between 2003 and 2006 she worked as a research assistant at Condimento.net and FOGS, Cologne. For her PhD on migratory processes, identity and social networks of Kazakhstani Germans she conducted field research in Kazakhstan. From 2003 until 2006 she was a PhD candidate at the Max Planck Institute for Social Anthropology, Halle.Contact
